Diagnosing the Chakras
The Chakra System within our subtle bodies is a powerful way of keeping track of our body/mind health. The seven major chakras or energy centers and their pathways, or meridians, are spinning and attracting the Chi, or life force that is required for remaining alive and vibrant.
There are as of yet no medical tests to diagnosis the chakras and meridians, since they are not visible to the naked eye. However, there is no lack of techniques available to assess the chakras, and this article will attempt to enlighten the reader as to all the ways, which are basically free, non-invasive and can be done alone.
A great deal of insight can be gained regarding the state of one’s chakras simply by asking a few questions, and observing a) what are your answers and b) what you are feeling when answering.
- What areas of your health are problematic?
- How is your love life?
- How is your financial and economic health?
- Are you satisfied in the work you have chosen?
- How is your social life?
- Are there any changes you would like to make in your life?
Depending on your answers and emotional responses, you will be able to discover which chakras are need balancing. For example, if your answer to the question on finance is ” Lousy”, your base chakra needs a bit of balancing since this is where your attitudes toward survival and money are located. The solar plexus chakra is the seat of self confidence and self worth, and you need to balance it so that you can feel worthy of having the income you want.
Your hands are the givers of healing energy, and have chakras in the palms. As your awareness evolves, you will use these chakras to not only heal, but to sense energies. Using the hands to detect imbalances in the other chakras is quite simple, and reliable. First rub your hands together till you feel heat. Close your eyes, and slowly take a few deep breaths. Now place the palm of your right hand about 2 inches above a chakra. Continue along to the others in the same manner, holding your hand there for at least a minute or two. Any sensations you feel are coming to you from the chakra. You could feel cold, or heat, or a pulsing, or a tingling. It will take a bit of time to gain confidence, and a bit of research or intuition to define the sensations, but eventually you will be able to diagnose the chakras with accuracy.
Relax into a comfortable chair, close your eyes and start to breath slowly. Examine your body from head to toe, as if you were looking down from a higher place. Release all preconceived notions, and just ask to see what your chakras need. Wait patiently until you receive some images, or sensations. You may see each individual chakra, or all at one time. You may also just receive information on the chakra that needs healing right now. The information may come in a color, or a scene that depicts why a certain chakra needs to be shown to you. Another option is that you may be shown a part of the body, and you will know that the chakra needing healing is right there.
The pendulum can be made out of a crystal, silver or pewter. Even a diamond will do, as long as it is hanging on a chain. This is similar to the “Hands” technique with the simple addition of a pendulum. It is important to clean the crystal with cold water, sunshine, sea salt or healthy soil. Never use hot water or soap. Wash your hands as well, close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths. Release any notions of what you may discover, otherwise you are inputting information through the pendulum and affecting an outcome. Hold your hand very steady, and dangle the pendulum over a chakra, about 1 to 2 inches up. Now just be patient. The first time the pendulum starts to move is very exciting, since you really are seeing a live chakra being energetically diagnosed.
There are many variations of what you may see next.
Healthy chakras are spinning in either a clockwise or counter clockwise direction, depending on the nature of the chakra and its purpose. The clockwise spinning is in keeping with the feminine energy, which connotes giving as in the nurturer. The counter clockwise direction is in keeping with the male energy which connotes taking or mastering, as in the hunter. The size of the circle created by the pendulum should be about 6 inches in circumference. It should be a complete circle, and the spinning should be at a moderate speed. You will be able to note whether it is sluggish or too fast with a bit of trial and error.
Anything other than that would denote a chakra that needs balancing. In that case, the pendulum might move a bit and then stop. It might also move up and down, or side to side or on the diagonal. It may move in an elliptical path instead of a circle.
This is an alternative method of diagnosing conditions of the body and mind using muscle testing. This one technique cannot be done alone, so you would need a qualified practitioner to guide you. The theory is that a weaker state will result in a weaker muscle. As the practitioner applies pressure to an outstretched arm, you will either give in to the pressure and the arm will fall, or you will be able to withstand the pressure and your arm will stand fast. Regarding chakras, questions are asked or statements are made about each chakra, and if they are balanced, your arm should withstand the pressure placed on it. If a chakra is not balanced, then your arm will not be able to resist the pressure, and fall down.
